Academic Information Services, in coordination with the Reves Center for International Studies and the International Advisory Committee (IAC) invites faculty members to submit applications for our “William & Mary Mapping our World” Internationalization Grant. The purpose of the award is to foster student research abroad and to provide an online showcase for that research. Special emphasis will be placed on research projects with a multimedia component.

Three levels of support are available:

  1. Enhanced Grant: This grant provides technical support to all faculty and students traveling abroad to aid in the production of multimedia or mapping content, $1000 stipend for the faculty member and an additional $4500 travel expenses for a media expert to join the students in the field.
  2. Basic Grant: This grant provides technical support to all faculty and students traveling abroad to aid in the production of multimedia or mapping content, $1000 stipend for the faculty member. This grant is appropriate for projects where in-field media support is not necessary.
  3. Unfunded Support: This option provides technical support to all faculty and students traveling abroad to aid in the production of multimedia or mapping content. No funding is provided, but pre-trip and post-trip support for multimedia project creation is provided.
