Change a Display Name

One of the easiest things you can do to make your blog posts look a little more polished is to change how your name appears in your byline.  WordPress allows you to change this easily in your Profile.

1.) Log in to your site.

2.) Click on your name in the Admin Bar in the top right of the screen, or click on your name on the right of the screen where it says “Howdy, <your name>”.  Then click on Edit My Profile if or Your Profile.

3.) From the User Profile screen, you can change things like your name and password (although you can’t change your username).  Scroll down to the “Name” settings and type in your first name, last name, and a nickname if you like.  Next, select the combination of names you would like to display on the posts you publish by selecting them in the “Display Name Publicly as” drop down box.
